He was born in Hinesville, Georgia, United States, on September 5, 1998. Davion spent his developmental years playing for Liberty County High School, the Tigers of Auburn University, and the Bears from Baylor University. He turned professional in 2021 when he was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA Draft. Throughout his career in Sacramento, Davion played alongside Buddy Hield, Tristan Thompson, Neemias Queta, and Damian Jones.
