David Bakhtiari is an American professional football player born in San Mateo, California on September 30, 1991. He is currently an offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. He played football in high school at JunÃpero Serra High School in San Mateo, California. As a senior, he was named Honorable Mention All-West Catholic Athletic League, All-Metro (Bay Area), and All-San Mateo County. He went on to play college football at the University of Colorado for the Colorado Buffaloes football team from 2009 to 2012. In 2013 he announced that he would forgo his senior year to declare for the 2013 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round, 109th overall, in the 2013 NFL Draft. In 2016 he signed a four-year contract extension with the Packers worth $48 million with $16.7 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $15 million.
