About Dara Ó Briain
Dara Ó Briain is a comedian born on 4th February 1972 in County Wicklow, Ireland. He is widely known for hosting the shows “The Apprentice: You’re Fired!” and “Mock the Week.” Dara began his career as a standup comedian by performing in Asia, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Australia. In 2012, he appeared at the Just For Laughs festival held in Montreal, Canada. He also presented the television program “It’s a Family Affair,” which was aired on RTE Television.
He later collaborated with Seamus Cassidy in the production of the talk show “Buried Alive” in 2003 and “The Panel” from 2003 to 2006. In 2003, he received a nomination for Chortle Comedy Award for Live Comedy. The following year, he won the Best Headliner award and was nominated for Best Full-Length Show. In 2010, he became the presenter for the companion discussion program “The Apprentice: You’re Fired!” replacing Adrian Chiles, who had just left.
