Cuco is the stage name of the Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and producer Omar Banos. He was born in Hawthorne, California on June 26, 1998. He became well known in 2016 when his cover of Santo & Johnny’s song “Sleepwalk” went viral. He started playing music at the age of eight and taught himself how to play the guitar, piano, drums, bass, French horn, and trumpet. He released his debut EP in 2015 at 17 years old titled Heavy Trip on SoundCloud. In 2016 he released his debut mixtape titled Wannabewithu. He has played shows and festivals in the Los Angeles area and sold out The Smell in 2017. That same year he wrote the popular love song titled “Lo Que Siento” and released his second mixtape Songs4u. In 2018 he released the 6 track EP titled Chiquito that contained the singles “Dontmakemefallinlove” and “Summertime Hightime.”
