Ivan Ramos, better known by his stage name of Coyu, was born in Barcelona in 1985. After cultivating his personal style as a DJ, one which is inclusive of energetic beats and innovative mixes, he catapulted onto the international scene with the release of “El Baile Aleman” (The German Dance) in 2009 along with his music partner Edu Imbernon. The single went to the #1 spot on Beatport, and that year, he was honored at the Dance Spanish Awards with six different nominations. 2010 saw his win at the Deejaymags Awards, where he won two awards, as well as his debut performances in North America. Coyu released his debut solo single in 2010, entitled “D.E.G”, which gained the attention of fellow DJs and producers such as Loco Dice, Pete Tong, and others.
