Cory Wong, whose full birth name is Cory Juen Wong, is an American musician, songwriter, music producer, and podcast host who was born in 1985, in Poughkeepsie, New York but grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He studied at the University of Minnesota and the McNally Smith College of Music. He began his professional career as a musician performing in different Minneapolis and Saint Paul jazz clubs.
He then moved to Nashville where he started performing as a guitarist on a regular basis. He launched his solo career in 2012 with the album titled Quartet/Quintet. Between 2017 and 2021 he released eight full-length studio albums and collaborated with several artists, among which stand out Dave Koz, Dirty Loops, and Jon Batiste, with whom he released the album Mediation and received a nomination at the Grammy Awards for Best New Age Album. He was also part of the band The Fearless Flyer, with whom he released three albums.
