Chase Benjamin, better known as Chase B, is a DJ and music producer born on May 11, 1990, in Houston, Texas. He began DJing when he was a student at Howard University. His original goal was to become a radio personality, but when he was working as MC at many parties, he started to think it was possible for him to be an MC and a DJ at the same time. His grandmother helped him purchase CDJs in 2011, and he never looked back. He continued honing this craft and found that he enjoyed DJing more than MCing and decided to focus his career as a DJ. After moving to New York, Chase began playing at different venues and festivals, including a residency at Up&Down. Chase is the go-to touring DJ for rapper Travis Scott and has produced music with him. Chase has also collaborated with artists like Young Thug, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, and Gunna. Chase is a member of the rap collective, JackBoys, a group of artists who have signed with Travis Scott’s label, Cactus Jack.
