Chapel is an Atlanta-based indie-pop duo composed of Carter Hardin (vocals/guitar/keys) and Kortney Grinwis (drums), managed and developed by Tyler Carter and Derek Brewer (manager of Crown the Empire). The duo was founded in 2016 after both being hungover and listening to Prince. The same year they released their debut song, Caught Up. Their self-produced debut EP Sunday Brunch followed in fall 2017. Since then, Carter (ex-Nightmares) and Kortney (ex-Favorite Weapon) have toured with Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Against the Current, and many others. In 2020, the duo released two stand-alone singles Mushy Gushy and Friends, and both singles had great success. Chapel’s single Pillow Talk was released in 2021 through their own label Rise Records. The single was mixed by Matt Huber and mastered by Sam Moses.
