Camila Coelho was born on February 27, 1988 in Minas Gerais, Brazil, but moved to Pennsylvania at the age of 14. Her interest in all things beauty and makeup drove her to pursue studies in makeup. She soon started working for Dior. As a side job, she helped dress bridesmaids and bride out of her home.
She created her first Youtube channel Camila Coelho in 2010 (in Portuguese). After its success, she opened an English version of the same MakeupByCamila in 2011. Soon after, major online stores were sending her their products and clothes to test and review on both her channels and one blog. Her Instagram boasts more than 6 million followers while her Portuguese and English channels have 3.1 and 1.1 million followers, respectively. She quit her job and now focuses on her online platforms.
