Calum Scott is a British singer and songwriter who was born on October 12, 1988.

He rose to fame after appearing on the ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent in April 2015, where he sang his cover of Robyn's song "Dancing on My Own." Following his sixth-place finish in the competition, he released his version as a single the following year, which reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and became the best-selling single of the summer in the United Kingdom.

Scott won the Hull Daily Mail's talent competition, Mail's Star Search, on August 15, 2013.

He later joined Maroon 4, a Maroon 5 tribute band, and toured the United Kingdom.

On April 11, 2015, Scott's audition for the ninth series of Britain's Got Talent was broadcast on ITV. Just before his audition, his sister Jade also auditioned but did not make the cut.

Scott self-released his rendition of "Dancing on My Own" on April 15, 2016. It was a sleeper success, debuting at number 40 in the charts in May and rising into the top 40 despite receiving minimal radio exposure save on West Hull FM.

In 2017, he toured the US and released the single "You Are the Reason." Also, in 2017, he began working on his debut album, Only Human, which was released on March 9, 2018.

Scott collaborated with American watchmaker Bulova to create a music documentary series named "Minutes with Calum" in September 2020, which examines the creative process behind his upcoming second album via the perspective of Bulova.
