Byron Chambers, better known as Mr. Talkbox, is a hip-hop and R&B musician born on July 30, 1976, in Orlando, Florida. He grew up in a musical family and was exposed to music from a young age. His stage name came from his obsession with the Talkbox, which he heard when it was used by R&B Funk Master artist, Roger Troutman. Chambers released his first album, My Testimony, in 2004. As a solo artist, he has several number 1 singles and was nominated for a 2016 Grammy Award. Chambers is also a proficient producer, writing or arranging for artists like O-Town, Group 1 Crew, and Martha Munizzi. Chambers’s voice appeared in the beginning of the award-winning single 24K Magic by Bruno Mars. His voice has also been sampled by artists like Kendrick Lamar's Loyalty and Cardi B & Bruno Mars’s Please Me.
