Building 429 is a Christian rock band taking their name from the New Testament verse Ephesians 4:29, which is a precaution against unwholesome talk and a command to speak only what may benefit those who listen. Bassist Scotty Beshears had formerly wrked with the gospel band Elijah’s Ride. While remaining firmly in the inspirational rock genre, they have tended to produce radio-friendly, upbeat pop tunes. They have released nine albums to date spanning 2000 to 2015, charting as high as #11 on Billboard US Rock and #1 (“We Won’t Be Shaken” 2013) on Billboard US Christian.

Building 429 has toured with Christian rock artists Jeremy Camp and Casting Crowns. In 2005, their song “Glory Defined” garnered them three Dove Award nominations, winning “New Artist of the Year.”
