Bruno Fernando, whose birth name is Bruno Afonso David Fernandes, is an Angolan professional basketball player who was born on August 15, 1998, in Luanda. He began his career while he was in high school. At first, attended Montverde Academy, located in Montverde, Florida. However, he transferred to IMG Academy, located in Bradenton, Florida, and finished his school years there. He later committed to the University of Maryland and joined the team in 2017. He declared for the 2018 NBA draft, but withdrew. He tried again in 2019 and was chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers. He was traded later to the Atlanta Hawks, and the team signed him. In August 2021, he was traded to the Boston Celtics in a three-team trade that also involved the Sacramento Kings. He debuted for the team in November 2021.
