About Bruce Boxleitner
Bruce Boxleitner is an American theater, television, and movie actor and writer. He was born on the 12th of May, 1950, in Elgin, Illinois, U.S. He began his acting career on stage, after graduating from the prestigious Chicago’s Goodman Theatre. He starred in the Broadway production of “Status Quo Vadis” in 1972 alongside Ted Danson. Boxleitner started acting on television in 1974, as Danny in “The Chadwick Family”. In 1975, he did his big screen debut in “Sixpack Annie”. He got his first big break when he landed a role on the television series “How the West Was Won” opposite James Arness, Eva Marie Saint, and Fionnula Flanagan, and then he played on “Bring ‘Em Back Alive”, “Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, along with Kate Jackson, and “Babylon 5”. In 982, Boxleitner was cast as the protagonist in Disney’s movie “TRON”. In 2010, and 2012 he took the same role to film “Tron: Legacy” and “Tron: Uprising”. In April 2012, Boxleitner was welcomed at the Hall of Great Western Performers at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City to honor him for his successful career in western films. He’s a two-time winner of the Wrangler Prize.
