Benr is a Dutch duo made up of Bart Maessen and Robin Zomer. The two musicians met at school fourteen years ago and have been best friends ever since. Since 2017, they have been making music under the name Benr. The duo became popular after the popular band The Scripts heard Bern`s version of the song The Last Time. They were so excited that they invited Bart and Robin to perform the song with them at their concert in 2020. In May the same year, they did a live performance from Ziggo Dome covering the song.

Benr, in collaboration with Qmusic, makes Dutch versions of English songs from the Top 40 and the songs are being uploaded on their YouTube channel. Among the popular cover songs are BTS’s Dynamite, and Billie Eilish’s Your Power. In 2021, they released their own song titled Geworden Wie Ik Ben ( Becoming Who I Am).
