BenDeLaCreme is the stage name of Benjamin Putnam, an American drag performer and actor based in Seattle. Putnam was born on September 24, 1982, in Washington. The name DeLaCreme is a play on the French term crème de la crème which translates to the cream of the cream, i.e. the best of the best. Well known for being a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 6. Statistically, DeLa is the best performing queen in All Stars history and victory-wise tied with Manila Luzon and Trinity The Tuck.
In 2002, he began performing in drag in various nightclubs and theatres. He won the title of Miss Congeniality during a special of RuPaul’s Drag Race in season 6. Putnam also worked with RuPaul’s Drag Race season 5 winner, Jinkx Monsoon, in Seattle.
