The Bees is a psychedelic retro pop band from Isle of Wight, England, formed in 2000 by bassist Aaron 'Fletch' Fletcher (bass), vocalist, and keyboardist Paul Butler, guitarist Kris Birkin, trumpet player Tim Parkin, drummer Michael Clevett, and keyboardist Warren Hampshire. Their home-recorded full-length debut “Sunshine Hit Me” was released in 2002, and was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize. Songs from this album and from the critically-acclaimed album “Free the Bees” (2004) gained popularity as TV commercial soundtracks. Cover versions of The Rolling Stones’ songs appeared on the Stones’ biopic “Stoned”, which also rendered a soundtrack CD. After two more full-length album releases, drummer Michael Clevett left the band. In the United States, they are known under the name “A Band of Bees” because of copyright issues.

I signed up for Booking Agent Info because I was having a hard time finding management and publicist info for artists that I wanted to interview for the publication that I write for. At first I was really skeptical about things, I didn't know if the site was trustworthy. But I'm really glad I signed up! Rather than taking the time to dig through the internet, I can just go to Booking Agent Info and its all there for me.
