Coming from Ipswich, Suffolk, England, Basement was formed in 2010. They are known to play the kind of ‘90s DIY sound. Basement was found by Alex Henery, Ronan Crix, Duncan Stewart, and James Fisher. Their debut album “I Wish I Could Stay Here” was released in 2011 under Run for Cover Records.

Their sophomore album “Colourmeinkindness” was released in 2012. They went on hiatus in 2013 after their tour in the United States. Despite inactivity, the band’s music continued circulation which made them decide to regroup in 2014 releasing their 2014 EP “Further Sky.” Their third full-length “Promise Everything” was released in 2016.
