Avenue Beat is a pop trio from Quincy, Illinois, that scored an unexpected hit in 2020 when their unfinished song F2020 became a huge hit on TikTok. The pop anthem was named song of the year by the New York Times and landed in the Top 30 at Top 40 Radio. The band is composed of three friends: Sam Backoff, Savana Santos, and Sami Bearden. They made their first music while at high school and graduated together in 2016. Their debut release Avenue Beat was released in late July 2019. It was produced by Savana alongside producers David Garcia and Ashley Gorley and comprised of four tracks – Delight, Be A Bro, Ruin That For Me, and Bro. In 2019, the group was signed to a joint venture between The Valory Music Co. and Tape Room Records and joined superstar artists such as Sheryl Crow, Justin Moore, Aaron Lewis. In 2020, the Illinois trio joined forces with Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez for a remix of their hit single F2020, which was released on November 13, 2020.
