Art vs Science is an Australian alternative/dance band that was formed in early 2008 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The founding members of the band were Jim Finn (vocals and keyboard), Dan McNamee also known as Dan Mac (vocals, guitar and keyboard), and Dan Willams also known as Dan W (drums and vocals).Â
The band’s first eponymous EP release Art vs. Science dropped 2009, featuring the singles 'Flippers' and 'Parlez-vous français?'. The latter single peaked at #2 in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2009. Next year, the group toured the UK in support of La Roux and also another tour with Groove Armada. In 2010, the trio earned three nominations at the ARIA Music Awards for their EP 'Magic Fountain'. The next year saw them win the Best Independent Release for their album 'The Experiment' which included some hit singles like A.I.M Fire!, Higher, and With Thoughts.Â
The band also dropped the single Create/Destroy in 2014. The next year they released the LP 'Off The Edge Of The Earth and Into Forever (MG)' which included the single 'In This Together'.
