Aphex Twin is the professional moniker of Richard David James who was born in Limerick, Ireland on August 18, 1971. He is also known as Power-Pill, Polygon Window, and GAK. In 1996, he released the compilation Richard D. James album. Another compilation, Classics, was released in 1998. His “Windowlicker” single bagged NME Awards’ Single of the Year in 2000. Rober Awards Music Poll also named his as the Best Electronica artist in 2014. During the 2015 Grammy Awards, Syro won the Best Dance/Electronica album as well as the Creative Packaging Award from A2IM Libera Awards. His other albums include Drukqs, Come to Daddy, and I Care Because You Do. In 2018, he released the EP Collapse which contains five tracks including “T69 Collapse,” “1st 44,” and “Pthex.”
