Andrea Bocelli is a classical and popular Italian composer who is one of the most celebrated living classical musicians in the world. Born into a wine-making family in Lajatico, Tuscany, Italy, he was stricken with a congenital birth defect making him blind since age twelve, by which age he had already mastered piano, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, and drums. By his teen years, he was performing and winning competitions.
