Amelie Lens is a Belgian electronic music DJ, and producer, best known for her acid techno energetic mixes. Lens was born on the 31st of May, 1990, in Vilvoorde, Flemish Region, Belgium. She began experimenting with electronic music as a teenager and in 2014, she quit her job in fashion in order to become a DJ. She performed under the alias Renée, playing a mixture of minimal techno and deep bass. She earned recognition in the European scene when she got a residency at the trendy Labyrinth Club, curating her own nights called EXHALE. She released her debut album “Exhale” based on her curated night sets, on the Italian label Lyase. She is known for experimenting with equipement a lot, and she often uses a Pioneer effect box besides her usual synth and sequencer.
