Alexander Robert Hirsch is an American writer, voice actor, storyboard artist, and producer who is best known as the creator and producer of the Disney TV series Gravity Falls. He was born in Piedmont, California, United States, on June 18, 1985. Alex began his career with animated series through the show The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. In 2012, he created the series Gravity Falls and was part of the series as a producer, screenwriter, storyboard artist, and voice actor alongside Kristen Schaal, Justin Roiland, Linda Cardellini, and Jason Ritter. Alex has lent his voice to the animated series Phineas and Ferb, Rick and Morty, Fish Hooks, The Owl House, and the movie The Mitchells vs the Machines. For his work on Gravity Falls, he has won an Annie Award for the Best Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Children’s Audience and a British Academy Children’s Award for Best International Series.
