Adeline Michèle is a musician from Paris, France. She decided to seriously pursue music after high school. She later moved to New York City, where she could meet and collaborate with many great musicians. She was the frontwoman of the disco band Escort. Michèle was asked by musicians Dan Balis and Eugene Cho to become the lead vocalist of their band, Escort, on their album Cocaine Blues. She continued being the vocalist for their next few albums. Eventually, Michèle and Escort parted ways and she released her self-titled debut solo album in 2018. In comparison to her time with Escort, her sound is influenced by funk, soul, and R&B. Being of French-Caribbean descent, her debut album is influenced by her experience as a Black immigrant in the United States. In 2020, she released 2 more albums, Intèrimes and Intèrimixed.
