Ace Ventura is the stage name for Yoni Oshrat, a DJ and music producer from Israel. He was exposed to music from a young age. His father is the Israeli composer Kobi Oshrat, who wrote the Eurovision-winning song, Hallelujah. He began working as a sound producer in the TV and movie industry before becoming a DJ full-time. Oshrat discovered the trance scene in the 90s and started DJing and forming the group Children of the Doc, later known as PsySex, with DJ Goblin. Together, they released 3 full-length albums. He started to perform as Ace Ventura in 2006, debuting his solo studio album, Rebirth, in 2007. In 2015, Ace Ventura released his second studio album, Paradise Engineering. As Ace Ventura, Oshrat won the Psytrance category in the 2008 and 2009 Beatport Music Awards and was nominated for Best Psychedelic Trance in the 2009 and 2010 DJ Music Awards.
