100 Thieves is a gaming organization founded in 2017 by Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag. As a former esports player, Haag wanted to build an organization that would merge his interest in gaming, entertainment, and apparel. 100 Thieves is an outlet for Haag to merge his creative side with his entrepreneurial ideas. As an apparel brand, they would often sell out their merchandise within minutes of launch. As an esports team, 100 Thieves has won several Call of Duty championships. While they still participate in other games’ championships, 100 Thieves decided to focus primarily on League of Legends and Fortnite. The team’s success has been attributed to the big personalities associated with them. In 2021, two of the most popular game streamers and members of 100 Thieves, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, became co-owners of the team alongside founder Haag, rapper Drake, music industry talent manager Scooter Braun, and Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.
