Announced:June 2026
  • Madonna released Confessions II — The Film, a short visual project built around the first six tracks of her upcoming album, wearing exclusively curated looks by Dolce & Gabbana, with the Italian house also dressing the extended cast.
  • Dolce & Gabbana served as the film's sole fashion house, dressing the entire production including all 250 extras, continuing the brand's long-standing relationship with Madonna.
  • The film, directed by TORSO and produced by DIVISION, exceeds 10 minutes and features collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter and Feid, premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival before dropping on YouTube.
  • The Confessions II album, a sequel to Madonna's iconic 2005 Confessions on a Dance Floor, is set for release on July 3, 2026, via Warner Records.

Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana are back together, and the reunion is cinematic. The Queen of Pop released Confessions II — The Film on June 8, 2026, a 10-minute-plus visual experience covering the first six tracks off her forthcoming album.

Directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase of TORSO, the film features Madonna in archival and current D&G looks, including a rhinestone-embellished top from the brand’s fall 1991 collection and a bodycon dress nodding to her Ray of Light era.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana describe the bond as genuine, “built on shared experiences and authentic moments of life,” one that stretches back to the early 1990s, including Madonna fronting their spring 2010 campaign. More recently, she starred in D&G’s The One 20th anniversary fragrance campaign in January 2026.

The film’s world premiere at the Beacon Theatre during the Tribeca Film Festival drew screaming fans, with actress Julia Garner making a cameo in a club scene. Tracks featured include “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter and “Read My Lips” with Feid.

One thing about Madonna and Sabrina is that they KNOW how to deliver a moment. The duo is back in ‘Confessions II – The Film’ and they are becoming a whole pop music reference… and so are their outfits, which are head-to-toe @Dolce&Gabbana. #madonna #sabrinacarpenter #musictiktok #popculture #musictok

On the brand-partnership front, Madonna has been on a hot streak. She teamed up with Grindr for the Confessions II campaign and partnered with Bilt on a rent support initiative for emerging New York City artists.

She recently joined Italian beauty brand Kiko Milano as its second-ever Global Ambassador, fronting the brand’s major U.S. push into Macy’s.

Beyond Madonna, Dolce & Gabbana has been expanding its celebrity roster aggressively, naming ATEEZ’s San as Global Ambassador in late 2025 and tapping Theo James and Vittoria Ceretti for the Light Blue fragrance 25th-anniversary relaunch.

Confessions II drops July 3 via Warner Records.

Takeaways

This isn’t just a styling credit, it’s a co-produced cinematic project where fashion is structural, not decorative. D&G dressing 250 extras signals the brand isn’t just riding Madonna’s wave; they’re co-authoring the visual language of one of pop’s most anticipated comebacks.

For both parties, it’s a heritage flex with modern muscle: archival 1991 looks alongside 2026 campaign energy. And with Confessions II landing July 3, expect the D&G visuals to be inescapable through the entire album rollout cycle.

Does D&G dressing the entire cast, not just Madonna, signal a new model for fashion-music partnerships where brands become full creative co-producers? Could Confessions II — The Film set a new benchmark for visual album campaigns the way Beyoncé’s Lemonade did a decade ago?
