Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award-winning artist Common has officially entered the wine industry with the debut of Jefferey Park.

The brand’s debut bottling is a 2024 Pinot Noir crafted from 27-year-old vines at Mussi’s Altocedro estate in Mendoza’s Valle de Uco. Sourced from the foothills of the Andes Mountains, fermented with native yeasts, and aged for 12 months in neutral French oak, the wine retails for $19.99 per 750ml bottle. It is available for delivery in as fast as 15 minutes through Gopuff, as well as at select BevMo! locations.

Common’s venture into winemaking reflects a growing trend of music icons establishing premium beverage brands, echoing Snoop Dogg’s tribute vintage honoring 2Pac under his Cali by Snoop label.

For Gopuff, the project underscores an aggressive push into co-created consumer goods. The instant-commerce platform recently teamed up with Tom Brady to roll out his Good Nut organic coconut water line, building on an earlier tie-in with Selena Gomez and Serendipity to debut exclusive ice cream bars.

While Jefferey Park marks Common’s first product collaboration with Gopuff, he has built an extensive corporate endorsement resume featuring partnerships with BMW and Smirnoff.

Common remains equally active in music and live performance; following the critical reception of his collaborative album The Auditorium Vol. 1 with legendary producer Pete Rock, he headlined marquee festival stages including the Roots Picnic and the Blue Note Jazz Festival.

Takeaways

For years, hip-hop artists entering the spirits industry leaned heavily toward tequila, vodka, and cognac. Common’s collaboration with Karim Mussi reflects an intentional pivot toward boutique, terroir-driven winemaking that emphasizes personal narrative over club culture.

Choosing an accessible $19.99 Pinot Noir rather than an expensive trophy vintage reinforces his goal of demystifying wine culture for everyday consumers. Furthermore, partnering exclusively with Gopuff solves the biggest bottleneck facing independent beverage labels: distribution.

By using Gopuff’s micro-fulfillment infrastructure and BevMo! network, Common sidesteps traditional retail friction to deliver bottles to doorsteps in minutes.
