Veteran artist manager Bill Simmons, management partner Kendal Marcy, and award-winning songwriter and publisher Chris DuBois have officially launched Domain Artist Management, a new joint venture with Domain Capital Group, LLC. Country superstar Brad Paisley has come aboard as the company’s flagship client.

Simmons has managed Paisley’s career since 2003 and previously served as a partner at The Fitzgerald Hartley Co. He is a former CMA Board Chairman and current Country Music Hall of Fame board member.

Marcy, a multi-instrumentalist and award-winning producer, has been part of Paisley’s inner circle since 1999 and became a management partner in 2014.

DuBois co-founded Sea Gayle Music with Paisley in 1999 and boasts 18 No. 1 hits as a songwriter, along with multiple Songwriter of the Year honors from NSAI and ASCAP.

This isn’t Domain Capital Group’s first rodeo in the entertainment space. The firm previously acquired Miranda Lambert’s catalog and partnered with Sony Music Publishing on Sea Gayle Music’s global publishing administration deal.

The new management company gives the group a direct hand in artist representation, not just catalog assets. It is based at 1221 17th Avenue South in Nashville.

Takeaways

This launch is more than a management reshuffling, it’s a statement about where the country music business is heading. When investors and artist managers sit at the same table from day one, it removes the traditional friction between creative representation and financial strategy.

Domain Artist Management isn’t just signing clients; it’s building a vertically integrated entertainment business where touring, music publishing, catalog investment, and artist development all speak the same language.

Brad Paisley as the flagship client also signals serious credibility. This isn’t a startup taking a flyer, it’s a company built around a decades-long relationship with one of country music’s most decorated artists, and now opening the door for more.

With Brad Paisley as the anchor client, what other A-list country artists might be drawn to Domain Artist Management’s unique structure? Domain Capital Group already owns catalog rights and now manages active artists, could a record label division be next?
