  • Florida rapper Kodak Black signs with global agency Wasserman for full representation.
  • The move follows his eighth studio album, Just Getting Started, released October 31, 2025 via Vulture Love / Capitol Records.
  • Kodak remains a dominant festival performer, having recently headlined Rolling Loud Miami 2024 and Don’t Fall In Love Festival 2024.
  • Kodak joins a roster of musical artists signed with Wasserman, including Nas, Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper, Future, Gucci Mane, Big Boi, and Central Cee.

Kodak Black, one of Florida’s most commercially successful rap exports of the past decade, has officially signed with Wasserman for representation, the agency announced.

The deal arrives on the heels of Just Getting Started, Kodak’s eighth official studio album, released October 31, 2025 via Vulture Love / Capitol Records.

The Pompano Beach native, whose government name is Bill Kahan Kapri, has maintained a consistent presence on the charts and touring circuit since his 2014 viral breakthrough “No Flockin.”

His 2018 single “ZEKE” featuring Travis Scott and Offset debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, his album Dying to Live opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving 89,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

The artist’s catalog runs deep with hits including “Tunnel Vision” (No. 6 on Hot 100), “Roll in Peace” featuring XXXTentacion (No. 31), and features on tracks like Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” remix and French Montana’s “Lockjaw.”

Kodak Black has proven himself as a major live attraction. In 2024, Kodak anchored major stages including Rolling Loud Miami and the Don’t Fall In Love Festival, both major platforms that book only artists with proven audience draw and ticket-moving capability.

His partnership with Wasserman comes at a time when the artist is actively touring, releasing new music, and leveraging his established fanbase across streaming platforms and live venues.

Wasserman has aggressively expanded its music division in recent years, going head‑to‑head with legacy agencies such as WMECAA, and UTA

The agency now represents a broad roster of top-tier touring artists that includes NasLil Durk, Jack & Jack, Davido, Zauntee, Maria Beccera, Bambii, and GloRilla, with a strong emphasis on acts that generate substantial live revenue and global festival demand.

Leveraging deep relationships with festivals, promoters, and brand partners, Wasserman gives its artists meaningful leverage when negotiating touring routes, festival placements, brand deals, and long‑term live strategy.

Takeaways:

Wasserman’s signing of Kodak Black underscores how newer agencies are challenging the traditional Big Three (WME, CAA, UTA) by securing major hip-hop talent. For artists, more agency competition means better leverage in negotiations and potentially more innovative service offerings.

In an era where streaming payouts remain controversial, Kodak’s sustained festival presence highlights why touring is the financial backbone for most working artists. His ability to command festival slots speaks to real audience demand, something no algorithm can manufacture.

Signing with Wasserman suggests Kodak Black and his team are betting on a sustained touring and festival run behind Just Getting Started, not just a short-lived album spike.

Will Wasserman’s growing music division disrupt the traditional agency hierarchy, or will the Big Three (WME, CAA, UTA) maintain dominance?

As festival lineups become increasingly selective, what does Kodak’s continued booking power tell us about what draws live audiences?

Could this signing signal a broader touring push into international markets where Kodak’s streaming numbers are strong but live presence has been limited?
