The band transitions to ROAM after previously working with booking agent Matthew Cooper at Earth Agency.

Behind the scenes, the group maintains stability within its core leadership. Managers Ethan Beer and Chris Bellam at Underplay continue to direct personal management. Bathing Suits also serves as the flagship act for Underplay Recordings, a label venture distributed worldwide through Virgin Music Group.

Formed in the Leeds DIY basement scene, Bathing Suits features vocalist and drum-machine programmer Freyja Blevins alongside bassist Elise Hughes and guitarists Alex Mulholland and George Dickinson. The quartet treats live rock instruments with the speed and physical force of club techno.

After dropping early single “I Can Be a Freak” in 2025 on Leeds imprint Private Regcords, the group released their debut EP KILL BATHING SUITS in April 2026.

Blevins also gained broader cultural visibility after French designer Hedi Slimane photographed her for his ongoing “Portrait of a Young Musician” series.

On the live circuit, Bathing Suits has quickly transformed into a major draw. In May 2026, audience votes earned them the Steve Strange Award for the best act at The Great Escape festival in Brighton.

Their touring calendar has since expanded into headline European shows, Paris’s Supersonic Club, high-profile tour support for Yard Act, and a showcase spot at Rotterdam’s Left of the Dial festival.

The deal continues a steady wave of alternative additions to ROAM’s roster. The agency recently strengthened its guitar-driven lineup by signing New York art-rock band BODEGA and alternative rock group Witch Fever for worldwide live representation excluding North America.

Takeaways

Bathing Suits’ move to ROAM underscores how rapidly DIY dance-punk acts can outgrow independent club circuits when backed by sharp live execution. By selecting ROAM, the Leeds band aligns with an agency structured to convert underground hype into sustained European festival appearances.

Leaving North America out of the agreement is a smart, calculated move. It gives the band room to establish their commercial footprint across the UK and mainland Europe first, while preserving maximum leverage for a dedicated American agency deal when they are ready to cross the Atlantic.

Will Bathing Suits’ high-intensity club energy translate well to major outdoor European festival stages in 2027? With ROAM recently signing Bathing Suits, BODEGA, and Witch Fever, how is the agency positioning itself against traditional giant agencies in the alternative live market?

Leeds electro-punk outfit Bathing Suits has signed with ROAM for live booking representation worldwide, excluding North America.
