Competing for the University of Virginia Cavaliers from 2020 through 2025, she captured 23 NCAA titles across individual events and relays.

Her leadership helped Virginia capture five consecutive NCAA Division I women’s team championships, matching the longest title streaks in collegiate swimming history.

On the global stage, Walsh remains a fixture in the individual medley. She secured an Olympic silver medal in the 200m IM at the Tokyo Games and took individual gold at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest.

Continuing her podium streak into the current quadrennial, she took home the silver medal in the 200m IM at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.

During her collegiate career, Walsh navigated the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) landscape alongside her sister, Gretchen Walsh, securing key co-branded deals like their signature line with Sporti. Signing with WME marks her first full-service management deal as she transitions entirely into professional swimming.

Walsh’s addition aligns with WME Sports’ aggressive recruitment of elite female athletes. The agency recently bolstered its track roster by signing Olympic middle-distance champion Keely Hodgkinson, while also expanding its court presence with Sonia Citron to guide her professional brand.

Takeaways

Alex Walsh’s signing with WME reflects how modern Olympic stars are approaching their off-pool marketability. Historically, swimmers struggled with commercial visibility between Olympic cycles, relying on brief quadrennial spikes in public interest. Today, athletes like Walsh enter the professional ranks already seasoned in brand collaborations thanks to the NIL era.

By partnering with WME Sports under veteran representation leaders like Max Eisenbud, Walsh gains direct access to major entertainment, fashion, and speaking pipelines.

This move cements the trend of top agencies treating Olympic competitors as year-round lifestyle and media brands rather than short-term tournament medalists.

Which fashion or lifestyle brands will best use Alex Walsh’s dual profile as an elite athlete and style ambassador? With WME adding top names across swimming, track, and basketball, which women’s Olympic sport is primed for the next commercial breakthrough?

Olympic silver medalist Alex Walsh has signed with WME for representation across all commercial endeavors, brand partnerships, media projects, and public appearances.
