The entertainment powerhouse, founded by Jay-Z, will now direct Wang’s music career as he expands his worldwide reach.

Wang announced the partnership on September 21, 2026, alongside the release of his new single “Thank You”. Welcoming him to the company, Jay-Z called Wang “an incredible artist with a very special drive”.

While Roc Nation takes charge of music management, Wang’s communications structure remains unchanged. He will continue working with We Care A Lot PR and twnty three for public relations. Wang releases his music and fashion collections through his own label, TEAM WANG records. Earlier in his career, he gained worldwide fame with JYP Entertainment boy group GOT7.

The deal follows a wave of career milestones for Wang. His solo album, MAGIC MAN 2, debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. He supported the release with his MAGIC MAN 2 World Tour across 2025 and 2026, selling out major venues including Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Additionally, Wang made history as the first Chinese solo artist to perform on the Coachella main stage across three different years.

This signing highlights Roc Nation’s ongoing management expansion in 2026, following the recent additions of independent R&B star Brent Faiyaz and John Legend to its roster.

Takeaways

Jackson Wang has spent the last few years proving that an Asian solo artist can consistently pack Western arenas and headline major festival stages on his own terms.

By aligning with Roc Nation, he bridges the gap between his massive Asian footprint and the upper echelon of the Western entertainment establishment. Roc Nation does not treat its artists like conventional pop acts; it operates as a full-scale cultural incubator where music, high fashion, brand equity, and media IP merge under one roof.

While TEAM WANG records retains creative control, Roc Nation provides the domestic infrastructure, radio leverage, and executive relationships Wang needs to achieve sustained mainstream crossover in North America and Europe.

For Roc Nation, landing Wang secures an established global touring juggernaut who already bridges Eastern and Western pop culture seamlessly.

Will Roc Nation pair Jackson Wang with its flagship hip-hop and R&B producers to target American Top 40 radio? How will this partnership affect the scale and venue selection for the next leg of Wang’s global touring cycles?

Global music superstar Jackson Wang has signed an official music management agreement with Roc Nation.
