Houston Texans wide receiver and return specialist Jaylin Noel has signed with Equity Sports for on- and off-field representation, and brand partnerships. Industry veteran and agency CEO Chris Cabott will serve as Noel’s lead agent, guiding his team agreements and career trajectory in Houston.

Noel entered the NFL after a standout collegiate career with the Iowa State Cyclones. In his final college season, he posted 80 catches for 1,194 yards and eight touchdowns, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors as a returner. His playmaking ability led the Texans to draft him in the third round (79th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Noel previously worked with agent Cianna Outlaw at SportsTrust Advisors before deciding to transition his representation to Cabott’s team.

The move expands Equity Sports’ footprint inside the Texans’ locker room. Cabott already represents Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and negotiated a historic, fully guaranteed rookie deal for Texans wideout Jayden Higgins, Noel’s longtime Iowa State teammate. By bringing Noel into the fold, Equity Sports secures two of Houston’s young perimeter assets under one roof.

Noel’s agency switch reflects a broader trend across the league as players recalibrate their representation to match expanding roles. The move mirrors several recent NFL alignments, including Puka Nacua partnering with Win Sports Group and defensive end Tyler Lacy signing with Athletes First.

Takeaways

Jaylin Noel’s switch to Equity Sports reflects a clear strategic pivot as he establishes himself in the NFL. Rather than staying with his original agency, Noel chose to align directly with Chris Cabott, who has demonstrated substantial leverage with the Texans’ front office, most notably through Jayden Higgins’ landmark fully guaranteed contract.

By pairing with an agency that already commands deep influence inside the organization, Noel positions himself to maximize his market value, both as a slot weapon and as an elite special teams returner.

How much will Chris Cabott’s existing relationship with the Houston Texans front office benefit Noel’s future contract negotiations? Does sharing an agency with collegiate and pro teammate Jayden Higgins create shared marketing and commercial opportunities for both receivers?
