The San Francisco 49ers running back will front Peter Millar&#8217;s new &#8220;Pursuit&#8221; collection of technical apparel and gear, launching August 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Peter Millar | Christian McCaffrey\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZUyUnwG3b4w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Christian represents the kind of multidimensional excellence that defines Peter Millar today,&#8221; said CEO Scott Mahoney, adding that the brand is &#8220;focused on the future, expanding the way our brand lives across sport and culture&#8221; as it marks its 25th anniversary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCaffrey called it &#8220;an honor to join the Peter Millar family,&#8221; saying the pieces &#8220;fit into every part of my life \u2014 whether I&#8217;m heading to the course, traveling or just spending time off the field.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Raleigh, North Carolina, brand, founded in 2001 and owned by the Swiss luxury group Richemont, has built its ambassador roster around PGA Tour pros such as Sam Burns and <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/celebrity\/justin-rose\/endorsements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Justin Rose<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCaffrey marks its first move into football, echoing the way <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/josh-allen-matthew-stafford-micah-parsons-front-new-eras-2026-nfl-sidelines-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New Era leaned on Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford and Micah Parsons<\/a> for its own 2026 NFL push and how <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/will-anderson-jr-joins-kane-footwear-as-first-nfl-athlete-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Will Anderson Jr. became KANE Footwear&#8217;s first NFL partner<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is new territory for McCaffrey&#8217;s wardrobe, too. He parted ways with longtime sponsor Nike last August to become a co-founder and investor in performance startup While On Earth, and he already carries a broad endorsement portfolio that includes Cadillac, U.S. Bank, Abercrombie &amp; Fitch and Bath &amp; Body Works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four-time Pro Bowler is coming off a bounce-back 2025 season: 1,202 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns after a 2024 largely lost to injury, and earned AP Comeback Player of the Year honors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter Millar&#8217;s own r\u00e9sum\u00e9 includes its 2018 acquisition of golf label G\/FORE and an April 2026 hospitality tie-up with Omni Hotels &amp; Resorts, signs of a brand pushing well past its cashmere-sweater roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Takeaways<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter Millar just made its clearest statement yet that &#8220;golf brand&#8221; is too small a box for where it wants to go. Picking McCaffrey, a running back who&#8217;s genuinely into golf, not just a celebrity slapped on a polo, suggests the brand is after credibility, not just reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also fits a bigger pattern: McCaffrey already walked away from Nike to build his own label, and he now seems to be picking outside partnerships more selectively, betting on brands with an elevated, &#8220;refined performance&#8221; identity rather than mass-market sportswear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Does McCaffrey&#8217;s shift from Nike to boutique, lifestyle-driven brands signal where more NFL stars are headed?
