Tod’s has a new face fronting its “Effortless Italian Elegance” message. The Italian luxury house announced Thai-British actress, singer and model Becky Armstrong as its newest brand ambassador on August 4, calling her a talent “with strong relevance across Asia and beyond.”

Armstrong will make her first official appearance in the role at Tod’s Spring 2027 show during Milan Fashion Week on September 25. The announcement caps months of informal work between the star and the house, which insiders say had been building toward a formal deal for some time.

“I am so happy to be part of the Tod’s family and look forward to the journey ahead,” Armstrong said, praising the brand’s “understated elegance” and everyday wearability.

Born in Bangkok to a Thai mother and British father, Armstrong broke out in 2022 as the lead of “Gap,” the first Girls’ Love series to air on Thai national television, and went on to star in 2023’s “Long Live Love!” and Netflix’s “Girl From Nowhere: The Reset,” which earned her the Rising Star of the Year award at the 2026 KISF Global OTT Awards.

The Tod’s deal lands just months after Armstrong signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for worldwide representation outside Asia and Latin America, becoming the first Thai actress to join the agency.

She also serves as a global beauty ambassador for L’Oréal Paris and has been a Chanel house ambassador since March 2025, the first Thai artist to hold that title.

At Tod’s, Armstrong joins a growing roster of Asian ambassadors, including Stray Kids rapper Han Ji-sung, who was named the brand’s global ambassador in June 2026, a deal that completed a sweep, making every Stray Kids member the face of a luxury fashion house.

Tod’s has leaned heavily into Asia-focused ambassador deals over the past two years, betting that regional stars can carry its craftsmanship-first message to younger luxury shoppers.

For Tod’s, the signing continues a strategy of pairing heritage leather goods with entertainers who have crossover appeal in film, music and fashion.

For Armstrong, it adds another major luxury partner to a portfolio that has expanded quickly since she launched her own management company, Becky Entertainment, in October 2025.

Takeaways

This one’s less a debut and more a formalization; the “months of working together” detail suggests Tod’s and Armstrong were already testing the waters before making it official, which is a smart way to de-risk a big ambassador bet.

It also fits a clear pattern: Tod’s is building out a bench of Asian stars (Han Ji-sung and now Armstrong) rather than leaning on one global face, likely to hit multiple regional markets at once.

Does Armstrong’s growing brand roster (Chanel, L’Oréal Paris, now Tod’s) signal she’s becoming Southeast Asia’s go-to luxury face? Will Tod’s Milan debut in September give Armstrong the same global visibility boost Han Ji-sung got from his June appearance?
