Kate Couriel, the Manchester-based singer-songwriter and violinist behind “Patriarchy’s Dead,” has signed with ROAM for worldwide live music and touring representation, excluding Canada and the United States. Jess Kinn, recently promoted to partner at ROAM, is leading the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing marks Couriel’s first formal booking representation as a solo act. She first built a following as a violinist in the Seb Lowe band, blending classical training with the group’s folk-punk sound on sold-out headline shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, she stepped into her own spotlight, releasing her debut single “Patriarchy’s Dead” on April 1, followed by “Draw Me a Person” on May 13, both drawing on her Hall\u00e9 Youth Orchestra background while tackling feminine rage and social injustice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Couriel has spent the year building a live footprint under her own name, playing rooms including Sheffield’s Foundry, Edinburgh’s La Belle Angele and Halifax’s Piece Hall, alongside support slots on Seb Lowe’s tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She’s booked for Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival on October 17, with UK and European dates, including a Prague stop, running through December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROAM, formed in September 2025 from the ATC Live\/Arrival Artists merger, has spent 2026 stacking its indie and alternative roster with emerging UK talent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agency recently signed London jazz-fusion project TOAST CLUB<\/a> for a similar worldwide-excluding-North-America deal, brought on Squid guitarist Anton Pearson<\/a> for his solo project under the same territory split, and inked Belfast band Esmeralda Road<\/a> for global representation excluding Africa, Canada and the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kinn has been especially active since her April promotion, adding names like Bimini, Pale Waves<\/a>‘ Mae Muller<\/a> and Emma Harner<\/a> to her own roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one’s a formalization more than a discovery. Couriel already had an audience through Seb Lowe’s band; ROAM is now betting on her as a standalone artist with her own touring identity, not just an instrumentalist in someone else’s lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The territory split is the interesting part. Carving out Canada and the US suggests ROAM sees a European and international festival circuit as the faster on-ramp for Couriel, saving a dedicated North American push for later, once her solo catalogue has more than two singles behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
