Elle Limebear has signed with Decca Records, becoming the storied British label’s first contemporary Christian artist in its nearly century-long history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal follows the success of Limebear’s independently released album Welcome to the Bloodline<\/em>, which caught the attention of Decca’s A&R team. Her signing coincides with new single “Give Me Joy,” a reworking of the British hymn “Oil in My Lamp” that first found an audience during her set at the UK’s Satellites Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brighton-based Limebear is the daughter of Martin Smith<\/a>, former frontman of British worship band Delirious?, and has built her own career since debuting with “Love Song” in 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She’s since topped Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart, earned a GMA Dove Award nomination, collected multiple Step FWD Awards, and passed 150 million global streams, alongside appearances on major BBC programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limebear was previously signed to Reunion Records, part of Sony-owned Provident Label Group, starting in 2018, before going independent for Welcome to the Bloodline<\/em>, the record that drew Decca’s interest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her wider team stays intact: Jeff Roberts Agency continues handling her live bookings, and Limebear Projects, run by her husband, continues as management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing comes during an active stretch for Decca, a Universal Music Group label. Weeks earlier, Decca Classics added Sir Anthony Hopkins as a composer, with his Life Is a Dream<\/em> album due August 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
