Euphoria Season 3 premiered in April, and she’s kept a steady stream of brand activity running alongside it, most recently fronting a new campaign for SYRN, the lingerie label she founded and owns outright earlier this January.

She attended a SYRN pop-up event a few weeks back with boyfriend Scooter Braun, the two keeping their relationship mostly out of the spotlight before officially going public this spring.

For American Eagle, doubling down on Sweeney after 2025’s polarizing “Great Jeans” campaign was a calculated bet on consistency rather than reinvention.

Executives have credited the partnership with driving record new-customer acquisition, and the brand has leaned further into celebrity marketing elsewhere, teaming with country stars Ella Langley and Bailey Zimmerman and NFL star Travis Kelce on other campaigns.

Takeaways

American Eagle isn’t just repeating a formula; it’s building a full storyline with Sweeney, chapter by chapter, tying each drop to a moment in her career (Euphoria’s return, the holiday, summer style).

That’s a shift from one-off celebrity ads to something closer to a season-long series, and it’s paying off in engagement even after last year’s backlash.

Does bringing Sweeney back after the “Great Jeans” controversy prove that consistency beats caution in celebrity marketing? Could American Eagle’s multi-campaign approach with one face become the new playbook for retail brands chasing Gen Z attention?

Summer just got another Sydney Sweeney moment.
