Janet Kim serves as the group&#8217;s point agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The signing puts SB19 on an accelerated global trajectory. The group debuted in 2018 under <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/company\/showbt-philippines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ShowBT Philippines<\/a> before breaking away in 2023 to form 1Z Entertainment, their member-owned label, which they continue to operate. Since then, they&#8217;ve surpassed one billion career streams and built a fiercely loyal global fanbase called &#8220;A&#8217;TIN.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This summer, SB19 performs at Summer Sonic in Tokyo (Aug. 15) and Lollapalooza in Chicago (July 30\u2013Aug. 2), making them the first homegrown Filipino act ever booked at the iconic fest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just earlier this year, they released their 24-track sophomore album <em>Wakas at Simula<\/em>, with lead single &#8220;Visa&#8221; debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard World Digital Sales chart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UTA, which recently signed acts including <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/slayr-signs-with-uta-for-worldwide-representation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SLAYR<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/josh-weathers-signs-with-uta-for-worldwide-representation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Josh Weathers<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/the-hellp-signs-with-uta-for-worldwide-representation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The HELLP<\/a> for worldwide representation, continues to expand its global music roster with one of Asia&#8217;s most pioneering acts. The agency also <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/news\/denise-julia-signs-with-uta-for-representation-in-north-south-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed another Filipino act, Denise Julia<\/a>, last month for representation in North &amp; South America.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Takeaways<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a landmark moment, not just for SB19, but for P-pop as a whole. A group that spent years building entirely on their own terms, owning their label and creative output, is now plugging into one of the most powerful agencies in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That combination of indie self-governance and major global infrastructure is a playbook that&#8217;s rarely been done this cleanly in Asian pop music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lollapalooza booking alone sends a loud signal: the West is no longer something P-pop is knocking on the door of, it&#8217;s being welcomed in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Does SB19&#8217;s UTA signing signal a broader wave of Southeast Asian artists being prioritized by major Western agencies?
