It has since become Focus&#8217;s top-grossing film ever (both globally and domestically) pulling in $234.5 million worldwide. <em>Obsession<\/em> is also the first film since <em>E.T.<\/em> (1982) to post bigger second and third weekends than its opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnston plays Bear, a protagonist whose wish for obsessive love spirals dangerously. He landed the role after casting director Skyler Zurn surfaced old audition tape for director Barker. A chemistry read with co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/bookingagentinfo.com\/celebrity\/inde-navarette\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Inde Navarrette<\/a> sealed it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before <em>Obsession<\/em>, Johnston had credits in <em>Teen Wolf<\/em>, indie feature <em>Slash<\/em>, and Lionsgate&#8217;s <em>Endangered Species<\/em>, solid work, but nothing that predicted this kind of breakout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The signing puts Johnston in the hands of Gersh agents Bobby Myerow and Josh Brandis on the theatrical side, with Jacob Frederick Berne and April Tombs handling brand partnerships.
