The 27-year-old Bronx-born actress is best known for her breakout role as Zora Greenleaf in OWN’s Greenleaf<\/em> (2016\u20132020). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has since built steady momentum, and currently stars as Keisha Clark in Netflix’s Forever<\/em>, adapted by Girlfriends<\/em> creator Mara Brock Akil<\/a> from Judy Blume’s<\/a> 1975 novel, reimagined around a modern-day Black couple in high school. Season 1 debuted in May 2025, and Season 2 is now in production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role earned Simone nominations for an NAACP Image Award, a Gotham TV Award, and a Film Independent Spirit Award, and landed her on Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood list in 2025. She is also set to appear in the upcoming horror thriller Oddities<\/em>, targeting a 2026 release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
