The band continues its booking relationship with TBA Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Formed in 2017 by brothers Jes\u00fas &#8220;Kacho&#8221; and Allan &#8220;Mongo&#8221; Gama from the outskirts of Mexico City, Son Rompe Pera coined the &#8220;Cumbia Punk&#8221; genre, blending traditional marimba with raw punk energy into a live show that&#8217;s become legendary for its marimba mosh pit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their debut <em>Batuco<\/em> (2020, AYA\/ZZK Records) was a tribute to their late father; their follow-up <em>Chimborazo<\/em> (2023) earned praise from NPR, Billboard, and AP.
