Years & Years is a synth-pop band from London. It was formed in 2010 by Mukey Goldsworthy, Emre Türkmen and Olly Alexander. With a sound described as a mix of ‘90s house, R&B, and electro-pop rhythms. Communion, their first studio album, became the number one UK Album Chart by being the debut album fastest sold of 2015. From this Album, in the same year, the single “King” won the first place on the UK Singles chart and also reached the first places in countries like Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Australia, Germany, among others. Three years later, during April of 2018 they issued, featuring Androids in a dystopian world, “Palo Santo”; an album including the single “If You’re Over Me”, a song that got in the top 10 of the UK. Their first award was for their song “Take Shelter” in 2014 in the category of Best British Pop Single, given by Popjustice £20 Music Prize.
