Luis Armando Lozada (popularly known as Vico C) is a Puerto Rican American-born rapper and artist who was born on September 8th, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He was born in New York but was raised in Puerta de Tierra barrio in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Vico took an early interest in hip hop with artists like Run D.M.C. in the 1980s. Vico C produced hits for Latin artists like Lisa M’s El Pum Pum, and Fransheska’s Menéalo. He also collaborated with Jossie Esteban in some of his early ‘90s releases. He also collaborated with Ivy Queen to release her Echale, Improvisando and Me Acuerdo. Vico’s La Recta Final became a big hit, which was Vico’s release for a while. In 1998 Aquel Que Habia Muerto, an album, dropped which has a religious inclination. His live album Vivo dropped in 2001 and in 2003 En Honor A La Verdad followed. A documentary based on Vico’s life was released in 2016.
