Tribo da Periferia is a Brazilian musical group that was formed in 1998 in Brasilia, Distrito Federal, Brazil. The members of the ensemble includes Duckjay, DJ Lerym, and MC Look. Tribo da Periferia’s debut album O Verdade Brasileiro was released and in 2005 the track Carro de Malandro became a hit. The next year the track was named the most performed song of the year by Correio Braziliense. The group received invitations to perform in events alongside big names like Racionais Mc’s, Realidade Cruel, Charlie Brown Jr., Planta e Raiz, Emicida and Facção Central. Some of their most famous singles include Marciano, Colombian, Ela Ta Virada, Sem Esparrar, Valores, Viva Comum, Insônia, Tipo Escoar and Nao vale a pena being mad de problema.
