Today Is the Day is a loud rock group, which was founded in March 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Guitarist Steve Austin and drummer Brad Elrod, who had previously collaborated on the album “Alien in the Land of Our Bath,” founded this band. Early in the 1990s, the pair relocated to Nashville, where bassist Mike, who had previously lived in Alabama, met Herrell, and the two of them created Today Is the Day. The band's varied style incorporates elements of alternative rock, grivna, post-hardcore, loud music, and avant-garde metal, among other genres. Since 1992, the band has included the exceptional guitarist and vocalist Steve Austin. Most of the group's albums use a lot of dissonance, sampling, peculiar production techniques, and hallucinogenic sounds. Moreover, the themes of their songs range from depression, conflict, brutality, altered states of consciousness to psychosis.
