Therion is a band from Upplands Väsby, Sweden. The band was formed in 1987 and its current members include guitarist/keyboardist Christofer Johnsson, drummer Sami Karppinen, lead vocalist Thomas Vikström, bass guitarist Nalle "Grizzly" Påhlsson, guitarist Christian Vidal, and vocalist Lori Lewis. They released their debut album, titled “Of Darkness…” in 1991. Their second album “Beyond Sanctorum” was released the following year. Their third album, “Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas” was released in 1993.

Other popular albums released by the band include “A’arab Zaraq – Lucid Dreaming” in 1997, “Crowing of Atlantis” in 1999, “Secret of the Runes” in 2001, “Lemuria” in 2004, “Gothic Kabbalah” in 2007, “Beloved Antichrist” in 2018, “Leviathan” in 2021 and others. The band has also toured the world with other bands and artists, promoting their albums and performing at popular events.
