Taylor Phelan is an indie rock music artist. He was born on the 6th of December, 1988, in Texas. He is best known for being the founder and frontman of the Chicago based pop-rock band The Canes. Phelan began playing guitar and writing his own songs at age 16, playing in local venues and coffee shops. In 2014, Phelan was a contestant on NBC's hit reality series “The Voice”. He was one of the favorite contestants and he got highly praised for his vocal talent. In 2015, he signed with the indie label Native Nine Records and he teamed up with producer Joshua D. Niles to work on his first EP. His debut EP titled “2 of 2” was released in 2017 and got a fairly positive response. It included hit songs like “Talk” and “By Your Side”. In 2018 he released his debut album “Where the Ocean Shallows”.
